PharmacologyEthcathinone is a methylphenidate-like DA/NE reuptake inhibitor (Rothman 2005). Its mechanism of action is similar to other appetite suppressants such as sibutramine, phentermine and dextroamphetamine. Chemically, it is the N-ethyl homologue of cathinone and dimethylcathinone.
