Analytical Chemistry (abbreviated as Anal. Chem.) is a scientific journal for original contributions of fundamental research in analytical chemistry. It is published by the American Chemical Society. Its original name from 1929 to 1947 was Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Analytical Edition, and was renamed Analytical Chemistry in 1947.

According to ISI, Analytical Chemistry was the most-cited journal in the field of analytical chemistry in 2004, with 59,525 total citations, as well as #1 in impact factor (5.450) among journals publishing 100 or more articles in 2004. [1] The impact factor in 2005 of this journal was 5.64.[2]

The journal also publishes a magazine-format special section for features and news articles, formerly referred to as the "A-pages" because of its different numbering scheme. In 2006, the A-pages were merged into the main journal numbering.
