Anadis is a biotechnology company based in Melbourne, Australia that trades on the Australian Stock Exchange with the symbol ANX.[1]

It makes the drug Travelan that helps reduce the impact of gastric conditions that are often picked up from food and water while travelling. Travelers Diarrhea can be picked up through unwashed fruit, ice and water born infection. Travelan is a bovine based drug, made in cooperation with [Tatura Milk]http://www.tatmilk.com.au.[2]

Anadis is researching:

  • Bio-shielding for the US Government[3], [4]
  • Anthrax protection for humans[5]
  • From the Anadis Annual Report 2006 "Enterovirus 71, a polio like disease, is one of the viruses that causes ‘hand, foot and mouth’ or ‘slapped cheek’ disease in young children. Mild symptoms usually include a rash and quieter than normal behavior, while a significant proportion of younger children can develop nervous signs such as fits, paralysis and even death." [6]
  • Medication to help suffers of IBD or IBS [6].
  • In partnership with dairy company Tatura Milk Company, Anadis is attempting to make a number of drugs for humans, through bovin products such as milk[3].
