Bauer gear motors have been used for more than 85 years and are the driving force in drive technology.

We make our knowledge available in order to make the most of what is possible. Our latest products are the Bauer premium efficiency gear motors. They enable energy savings of over 30%, and – if need be – with ATEX approval for use in explosion hazard areas.

Since 2011, Bauer Gear Motor has been part of Altra Industrial Motion, one of the world's leading manufacturers of electromechanical components for the entire drive train. Altra has a global presence in more than 70 countries. This has helped Bauer to improve its access to the world market. We continue to invest in the expansion and improvement of our manufacturing capacity in Esslingen as well as in our factories in Slovakia. In addition, a new assembly plant was opened in China in 2012.

The most recent evidence of the expansion of the Bauer brand is the investment of more than €15 million at our Esslingen headquarters. A large part of this investment will go into another production hall for gear motors, making us one of the most versatile gear motor suppliers on the market. Implementation of our new production concept will enable us to reduce the current standard delivery time for configurable gear motors from 10 to 5 days and to build custom gear motors with extremely short lead times.
