ESCH GmbH was founded in 1992 to use existing experience in the use of pneumatic conveying technology in the iron and steel industry, to develop new processes and finally to use them in other branches of industry. Since then, ESCH GmbH has been able to commission various dosing, injection, adsorption and conveying systems on blast furnaces, converter and electric steel mills, aluminum melting units and other industrial equipment. The main technological objectives of the installed special plants are to improve the environmental compatibility by adsorption of toxic pollutants from the exhaust gas, as well as to reduce production costs by saving inputs and replacing oil and gas with alternative solid fuels. In 2007, ESCH GmbH took over the business areas of the VTI Thuringian Process Engineering Institute for Environment and Energy e. V. It is now also possible to use the former VTI pilot plant, which is unique in its complexity for mechanical processing technology, thermal process engineering and bioprocess engineering . Investigations of the viscosity of coal slag, biogas production from different feedstocks and developing new recycling technologies for mineral and metallic raw materials, represent a particular focus . In addition, the many years of experience in the production of biogas are used in the construction and support of such plants.
