AMiSTec (Anti-microbial surface technologies) develops and licenses solutions for germ-free surfaces made of plastics (polyolefins, PVC, PC, ABS, PS), silicones, waxes, epoxy resin, glass, ceramics and metals, plus fibres and textiles. The technology is based on the natural acid mantle of the human skin. It uses transition metal oxides to produce permanent, acidic surfaces. The technology is superior in terms of technical and commercial use over other techniques such as antibiotics, desinfectants, nanosilver and copper.
AMiSTec operates a microbiological lab.
Our technology is non-toxic can works against bacteria, fungi, viruses and algae (anti-fouling), e.g. against legionella and multi-resistant germs (MRSA).
The technology can be used for surfaces in highly frequented, public areas such as hospitals, schools, foster homes, public transportation, airports, etc.
