plastics for longer life® - Triboplastics are tribologically optimized material compounds and therewith the basis of all igus® products and systems

The igus® engineers develop every year more than 100 new polymer compounds each year and analyse the tribological characteristics in the igus® R&D centre in more than 10,000 tests. All results are used for the extensive material database. Based on this data it is possible to offer a precise prediction of the life time for iglidur® polymer bearings. This has fulfilled the dream of many engineers - predicable sliding bearing without any lubricant.
