Control Development, Inc. introduced the world’s first commercial, PC plug-in miniature spectrometer in 1991. This spectrometer was a silicon CCD-based device, covering the UV to near NIR spectral range. Control Development also introduced the world’s first PC plug-in miniature, NIR spectrometer using a thermo-electrically cooled InGaAs array.
